How to Use KISS mineral For All Skin Types
STEP 1
Prepping the skin
The key in emulating a flawlessly natural complexion lies within the base. Think of your face as a blank canvas and you’re laying down the groundwork with a well-moisturised surface.
With a formulation that is made from pure mineral ingredients, our powder foundation functions to adhere to the natural oils of your skin. Hence, a good moisturiser helps to lock in hydration and avoid dry patches throughout the day, especially so when you have dry skin. Make sure your moisturiser is evenly spreaded and fully absorbed so the powder does not cake.
Pro tip: Create your own tinted moisturiser by mixing a bit of KISS mineral Premium Foundation powder with your moisturiser. For best results, just mix what you need for one application.
STEP 2
Conceal for a flawless start
Next up, concealing. It’s best to apply your concealer first before foundation in order to achieve a flawlessly even coverage later on. Using the Premium Concealer Brush, focus on blemished areas and under the eyes and proceed to blend seamlessly. Of course, you may skip this step if you have no blemishes on your skin.
Pro tip: Did you know that our Premium Mineral Foundation also doubles up as a handy concealer? Simply layer on a sheer amount until the blemish is masked, and voilà!
STEP 3
Applying the foundation
And now, the real fun begins! Tap a small amount of Premium Mineral Foundation onto the cap of the jar and swirl the Premium Face Brush onto the powder. Give the brush a tap to remove any loose powders. Then gently but firmly, brush the mineral powder onto your face in continuous circular motions, working from the T-zone outwards. For the most natural results, blend into your hairline and along your neck too, working down to your chest. Repeat until you get the coverage you want, buffing until you get a smooth, even finish.
Pro tip: Remember the golden rule – less is more. Moreover, our foundation is created with a buildable formulation that offers the versatility of natural to full coverage. We recommend using Premium Face Brush that is specially designed to be short and tightly-packed to hold the mineral powder effectively. The extremely soft bristles also help balance out the skin tone, reducing blemishes and creating a nice soft glow without any ‘heaviness’ on the skin.
STEP 4
Define the eyes
Place some ‘bling’ into blinking with our luxurious Mineral Pressed Eyeshadow that comes in a selection of natural and seductive shades. Firstly, prep the eye area with eye cream and primer for easy application and proceed to blend in the eyeshadow. Using the Mineral Liquid Eyeliner, start drawing from the middle towards the outer lid. Then, draw the inner corners of the lid towards the middle for a seamless, defined line and flick the brush upwards to create a wing.

STEP 5
Placing the finishing touches
Using the KISS mineral Premium Face Brush, swirl a pinch of Premium Mineral Blusher onto the apples of your cheeks. As a final step to lock the makeup for longer wear, brush on a layer of Premium Mineral Setting Powder around the face. The oil-absorbing formula blends seamlessly onto any makeup, delivering a radiant matte effect while minimising the appearance of pores.
For additional sun protection, use Brush ON Block. A revolutionary mineral sunscreen in powder form with SPF 30 protection from UVA, UVB, and IRA rays, the translucent powder goes well over or under any makeup application for a natural, shine-free finish.
Pro tip: If your skin tends to become oily throughout the day, we recommend applying Premium Setting Powder as a base before foundation as well as after your makeup application.

- Get The Right Colour
Finding the right shade is one of the most important things to make your mineral makeup look natural. Mineral makeup sits on the surface of your face, so if it’s not the right shade it really shows. - Take A Test Shot
Mineral makeup looks slightly lighter in flash photography because of its reflectiveness. So if you’re going for a night out, pose for a few sample selfies to make sure your makeup looks as good under a flash as it will in person. You may want to go a shade darker too if you know you’re going to take a lot of pictures. - Keep it Clean
Keep bacteria at bay by regularly cleaning your brushes. You can use baby wipes to gently clean brushes after use. Wash brushes with a gentle shampoo and lay them flat to dry at least once a month. Good brushes can last long with the right care.
HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR BRUSH
- Dampen brush with running tap water and lather gently with mild soap or facial cleanser.
- Protect your brush by holding the brush downwards. Water in the ferrule (a ring at the end of the stick) may damage your brush.
- Rinse under running water until the water runs clear and the soap is thoroughly removed.
- Blot the brush well with a clean old towel and gently reshape it.
- Allow your brush to air dry flat on a surface.
- Protect your brushes from heat sources such as hair dryers, which may damage the quality of the brush.
